Danielle represents municipalities, water districts, water supply corporations, utilities, and landowners in matters relating to certificates of convenience and necessity (CCNs), water supply, water quality, and water rights.  She also assists these entities with impact fees, wholesale and retail utility rates, and regulatory enforcement matters before the Public Utility Commission of Texas and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Danielle also provides general counsel services to water districts and water supply corporations, such as advising on elections, open government matters, and procurement laws; negotiating and preparing contracts; and assisting with real estate transactions and eminent domain matters.

Danielle is an active member of the Board of Directors of the Austin Bar Association’s Administrative Law Section.  She received her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center and clerked at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas during law school.

  • Representing clients before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality for water district and water quality permitting matters
  • Representing clients in contested case hearings before the State Office of Administrative Hearings
  • Assisting clients with permitting and compliance for Phase II Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems
  • Serving as general counsel for water district and water supply corporations
  • Assisting clients with elections, open government matters (Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Public Information Act, records retention), and procurement (competitive bidding, requests for proposals, requests for qualifications)
  • Assisting clients to negotiate and prepare water supply contracts, groundwater leases, water transportation contracts, wastewater capacity contracts, utility operations contracts, utility conveyance contracts, and non-standard service agreements
  • Assisting clients with district creation and the annexation and exclusion of land to a district
  • Assisting clients with real property transactions and eminent domain matters

Born and raised in Sugar Land, Danielle also lived in Singapore and Taiwan before moving back to Austin. She enjoys traveling abroad, buying plants, and trying new recipes. But really, most of her free time is spent walking her dog, Nara.
