Lloyd Gosselink is pleased to announce the six distinguished law students selected to take part in our Summer 2026 Law Clerk Program!

This summer, we are excited to welcome law clerks Taylor Cox, Claire Wills, Paul Iskra, Trent Collins, Zoe Alvarez, and Lane Charles. Lloyd Gosselink takes pride in its long‑standing and robust Law Clerk Program, and we look forward to continuing our tradition of providing outstanding law students with the opportunity to gain experience working with both principals and associates in all of the Firm’s diverse areas of practice.

Taylor Cox
Taylor is a second‑year law student at The University of Texas School of Law, where she serves on the Texas Environmental Law Journal and holds executive board positions in both the Women’s Law Caucus and the Environmental Law Society. She is the recipient of the Center for Women in Law Genecov Presidential Scholarship and is a Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions. Taylor’s legal experience includes clerking in the Environmental Protection Division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General, and previously worked in Medicaid billing and patient accounts, as well as in sustainability‑focused roles at the University of Mississippi. Taylor enjoys nature documentaries, international travel, and making her own pasta sauce.

Claire Wills
Claire is a second‑year law student at the University of Houston Law Center, where she serves on the executive board of the Association of Women in Law. She has participated in the John Black Moot Court Competition, the Student Bar Association, and First Generation Law Students. Claire’s legal experience includes an internship with Oceaneering and prior work as a Front of House Manager, Member Relations Specialist, Personal Lines Underwriter, and Human Resources Manager, giving her extensive experience in conflict resolution, regulatory compliance, and personnel management. Claire previously taught English Language Arts and has received multiple leadership and service awards. She enjoys documentaries, live music, fiction novels, A24 films, and hybrid fitness training.

Paul Iskra
Paul is a second-year law student at Texas Tech University School of Law, where he serves as Chair of the Student Wellness Advisory Council and advises the Environmental Law Society. He competes as a Board of Barristers moot court advocate, recently finishing as a semi-finalist in the University of San Franscisco Constitutional Law tournament where his team secured second best brief. Paul is also a constitutional law tutor and enjoys helping 1L students navigate foundational topics such as justiciability, the commerce clause, and substantive due process. For his 3L year, Paul is excited to join the Journal of the Energy Law Practitioner as an editor and work as a research fellow at the Center for Water Law and Policy. His professional experience includes humanitarian work with Google and communications for a progressive political action committee. Paul enjoys running, Godzilla films, and Ted Lasso.

Trent Collins
Trent is a third‑year law student at South Texas College of Law Houston, where he ranks in the top 10% of his class and has earned multiple CALI Awards, is a Presidential Fellow, and is recognized on the Dean’s Honor List. He is active in the Aggie Law Students Association, Oil and Gas Law Society, and the First Generation Law Student Society. Trent’s previous experience includes serving as a Summer Associate at Kuiper Law Firm, a Legislative Clerk and Summer Associate at Low, Swinney, Evans & James PLLC, and an Operations Manager for Trico Propane. Trent enjoys fishing across Texas, attending concerts, playing golf and tennis, and cheering on A&M football and basketball.

Zoe Alvarez
Zoe is a second‑year law student at The University of Texas School of Law, where she is involved in Texas Environmental Law Journal as the Submissions Director, the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students Association, and the Barbara Jordan Inn of Court. She also does pre-law advising for UT Austin. Zoe’s legal experience includes serving as First Chair in the UT Domestic Violence Clinic and serving as a law clerk in the Administrative Law Division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General. Zoe previously worked as a Texas Student Recruiter and as an Elections Intern for UT Austin. She enjoys classic films, translated literature, gardening, and live music.

Lane Charles
Lane is a first‑year law student at Baylor University School of Law, where he is a recipient of the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, a top competitor in the Spring 2026 Moot Court Competition, and a member of the Baylor Barrister Society. Lane’s legal experience includes serving as a Judicial Intern for the 419th Civil District Court, where he drafted proposed orders, prepared bench memoranda, and observed trials and hearings. He previously worked as a Library Aide for the City of San Antonio and as a Career Consultant Assistant at UTSA. Lane enjoys reading fantasy novels, writing short stories, and photography.
