Emily is a member of the Firm’s Water Practice Group.  Emily’s practice involves working with environmental matters at the federal, state, and local levels.  She assists clients with water quality matters, water resources development, regulatory compliance, permitting, enforcement, and litigation.

During law school, Emily refined her interest in environmental law by interning with the Environmental Protection Agency and Kansas Department of Agriculture, leading the Energy and Environmental Law Society, and participating in a national environmental law moot court competition in New York.

Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Emily became a Texan by choice when she attended Baylor University.  After graduation, Emily worked as a secondary science teacher in the Fort Worth Area, primarily teaching Biology and AP Biology.  Knowing she wanted to further her education, Emily attended law school at the University of Kansas, where, in addition to her legal studies, she organized clubs, worked as a teaching assistant, and was a member of the Moot Court Council.  Although Emily is new to Austin, she is glad to have returned to the great state of Texas and to be working in the environmental law field.
