Madison’s practice focuses on governmental and water-related legal and policy issues, including statutory and regulatory compliance, permitting, water rights, water resource management and development, and certificates of convenience and necessity. She represents clients before various state agencies and at the Texas Legislature and assists in the governance and operation of local government entities.

 

Prior to law school, Madison served as legislative staff for two senior Members of the Texas House of Representatives. In her role she worked with members of the legislative, judicial, and executive branches on a variety of policy issues effecting Texans. During law school, Madison served as an intern for both U.S. Magistrate Judge Irma Ramirez of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.

Born on Galveston Island, Madison spent most of her childhood on the gulf coast. Her passion for state and local government brought her to the Texas Capitol where she has been involved with Texas government ever since. While attending the University of Texas at Austin she was elected at-large to lead the university’s student government assembly which ignited her desire to pursue a career bridging the gap between Texans and their government. As a lover of Texas sports and nature, she spends her weekends attending UT sporting events, running around the lake, and enjoying time outside with family and friends. During campaign season, you can find Madison knocking on doors and volunteering for local candidates. She never misses an opportunity for new adventure or to appreciate the vastness of our great state.
