Co-founding partner Paul Gosselink focuses on municipal solid waste permitting and compliance, but has extensive experience in industrial and hazardous waste permitting and remediation, as well as air permitting. He is on the Panel of Arbitrators and Mediators of the American Arbitration Association. He is a member of the Firm’s Air and Waste Practice Group and the Litigation and Alternative and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He frequently speaks on solid waste permitting issues, interstate movement of solid waste, and the regulation of landfill gas emissions. He is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Texas (Sections on Environmental and Natural Resources Law, Administrative and Public Law, and Litigation) and a board member of the Texas Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (TxSWANA). He served as Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas (1975-78). He has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit and U.S. District Courts (Northern District of Texas, Southern District of Texas, and Western District of Texas). He grew up in Baldwin, New York. He holds a B.A. in 1969 from Hobart College. He received an M.A. from Rutgers University in 1972, and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University in 1975, where he was a member of Delta Theta Phi and recipient of the Wall Street Journal award.
