Jeffrey Reed practices primarily in the areas of air and solid waste permitting and compliance. He also practices real estate due diligence, and general administrative law issues. Jeff brings a unique perspective to approaching his clients’ matters. Jeff is a licensed professional engineer (now inactive), and spent 10 years assisting clients with their engineering needs. During that time, he assisted clients that were under enforcement by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) by designing and obtaining approval for improvements to meet agency requirements. He also designed water, wastewater, and stormwater improvements for major land development projects and assisted in obtaining approval for those projects from the TCEQ and local permitting authorities.
Jeff became interested in practicing law after testifying as an expert witness both in contested case hearings before the State Office of Administrative Hearings, and in civil litigation. Jeff attended both Southern Methodist University’s School of Law and the University of Texas’ School of Law.

- Representing clients before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency in obtaining permits, permit amendments, and registrations for solid waste facilities (including landfills, transfer stations, and recycling / processing facilities) and air emissions
- Representing clients before the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and Environmental Protection Agency in enforcement actions
- Assisting in obtaining grants under the Texas Emission Reduction Program
